So... yeah... it's been a while since I've done this. I think my last post said something about dead week, or finals... one of those... which is probably why I haven't posted anything recently.
I pulled out of last semester with flying colors. 4 A's and 1 B boosted my GPA up an entire tenth of a point. The B was in first semester Organic Chemistry, if anyone was wondering, or didn't know already. :)
Anyhow, Christmas break was really hard. I didn't get to go to Virginia, but I did get to go to Adam and Alicia's for a few days, and that was really fun. The rest of my month-long break I spent with my friends here in Denton, and that was also pretty amazing. Last semester was really hard on all of us, and it gave us some time to catch up, repair some things, and just talk. It was great.
And now I'm back at school. I've survived the first week, even though I haven't had all of my classes yet (labs don't start till this week). This semester I'm taking my second semester of Organic Chemistry with lab, Principles of Nutrition online, Criminal Law, and Correctional Systems.
Organic Chemistry will be a lot harder this semester... especially the final. It's called the ACS final, and it goes over both semesters of Organic Chemistry, which is a whole lot of info. :) But I'll survive. Principles of Nutrition is my very first online class ever, and so far I'm doing really well in it.
My Correctional Systems class is really awesome. The professor is really funny, and really likes to get the class involved, which is kinda something I miss coming from a small school. There's a lot of reading to do, not to mention two reflective papers over two books we're reading for the class. Other than that I think it's going to be great. I'm really excited about this class. Unfortunately, we won't be taking a trip down to Huntsville to visit the max. security prison there. I heard that last semester a professor took about 10 kids down there, but I haven't heard anything about this semester. :(
My Criminal Law class is pretty much my most amusing and fun and exciting class so far. I absolutely love it. The professor is hilarious, and really really awesome. He used to be a private investigator, a chief parole officer, and a co-owner of a semi-professional football team. Where else can you find someone as cool as that?! Part of his contact info on the class syllabus is his AIM ID if we ever feel like asking him a question at like 2 in the morning... he likes to stay up and work late... so he gets kudo points for that. Something I'm actually kinda looking forward to in this class is that we get to do a case brief over a Federal Supreme Court or Texas Supreme Court case of our choice (first come first serve of course). I'm going to be researching some cases this weekend, but if anyone knows any that might be interesting to me, give me a call or something. :)
Let's see... what else.... OH!!! My roommate graduated last semester, and they didn't assign anyone else to my room, so I have my ginormous room all to myself. It's the very first time I've had my own room, and I really like it... a lot... especially since I don't have to share my bathroom or my kitchen with anyone else. :D
This semester I will be applying to be a TAMS RA for next semester. I didn't get the position for this semester, but I'm pretty sure TAMS will definitely consider me, seeing as how I graduated from there. :)
That's pretty much all for now. Keep in touch! I'll try and post whenever I can. :)

Weekly (Almost) Update #2
Hokay... so... here's the eart.... j/k
Anyhow... so.. the guy in my CJ class. We have been talking since the beginning of this semester basically, and we both have an hour break between our first class and the class we have together, so most of the time we just sit outside the classroom and talk. We have come to find that we are scarily similar to each other... it's freaky. He's got pretty much the same sense of humor I do, and he likes a lot of the same things I do. We have our differences of course, but that's okay. No, he's not a member (he's Catholic), but he says that one of his old friends was and gave him a BOM, but he doesn't know where it is. I think I might end up just giving him another one and pointing out some things that really mean a lot to me and everything... just to get him started.
Anyhow... so... I started falling for him a bit, and decided to save him some cookies that I had made the previous night. Well, then out of the blue, he buys me lunch. I thought that was really nice, so a couple of nights later I saved him some biscuits and sausage gravy. Well... since then he's bought lunch two more times and has even bought a couple of sodas before class. And then last week-ish, he saved me some homemade lasagna. Now, most of you probably know that I absolutely LOVE lasagna, which is awesome because it's his favorite too. XD.. anyhow... but yeah... It's just kinda frustrating right now, because he only sees us as friends, but somehow it feels like more. I dunno... it could just be a crush... but we'll see...
So, I had my last regular Organic Chemistry test yesterday. I felt like I did amazingly on it, but we haven't gotten them back yet, so I don't know for certain how well I actually did. My last test before finals is on Friday, and it's in my Italian class... gah.
Twilight comes out Friday at midnight!! And yes, I AM going to the midnight release Thursday night. I'm super excited! Me and a bunch of friends from church are going to see it together, and it's bound to be one heck of a girls' night out. XD
Plans are still up in the air about Christmas, but I will keep everyone updated as I get more info.
That's it for now, but keep coming back! I'll try my best to keep posting regularly, and I might even be starting a section just for ranting or venting, or whatever. So, yeah. Keep in touch!

Weekly Update #1
Okay, where to start?
I guess I'll start from my graduation from TAMS. Yes that's right... I is graduated! TAMS has put me essentially two years ahead in my education, making me a Junior here at UNT, with barely any core classes left. I'm studying Criminal Justice here, and am taking classes to help me do well on the MCATs: Organic Chemistry 1 & 2, and two semesters of Anatomy and Physiology. So, I will be here at UNT for 3 more years and hopefully graduate in the Spring of 2011. Yay!
While going to school full-time, I'm also working part-time at the Survey Research Center here at UNT. I do over-the-phone surveys... yeah... I'm the kind of people you usually hang up on... but that's okay. It's helping to pay off housing and that's pretty much all that matters right now. Speaking of, my room here at College Inn is so awesome. I have a kitchen IN my room and the only person I have to share the bathroom with is my roommate, who is awesome. It's like living in an apartment, but less expensive.
I've made a lot of new friends this semester, within my different classes and also at work. It's actually kinda funny when I think about it cause I have a group of friends in my O-Chem lecture and lab, and then I have my friends from my Italian class, and then I have my friends at work, and then there's mainly just one friend in my Criminal Justice class I'm taking... and he's amazing... more on that later... =D
Oh yeah... classes I'm taking this semester. I'm currently taking Elementary Italian, Organic Chemistry 1 with lab, Diversity Issues in Criminal Justice, and Political Science 1050. Pretty fun stuff... not really... but after this semester I'll only have two more core classes and then I can really start focusing on my major classes. Yay!
Next semester I'm taking Organic Chemistry 2 with lab, Correctional Systems, Criminal Law, and Principles of Nutrition, for a total of 13? hours... not exactly sure on the number, but it's somewhere around there. I'm kinda excited about my Nutrition class cause it'll be my first online class ever!
Some of you may have heard that I have applied to be a Resident Assistant in the residence halls here on campus. Unfortunately, I did not make the cut for next semester, but I will be trying again next semester for a position next Fall.
Finals are in a few weeks, and I'm not looking forward to them at all... mostly because my Italian final and my O-Chem final are on the same day *dies*... yeah... not very fun... but hopefully I'll survive.
Let's see... holidays... for Thanksgiving I will be going over to Adam and Alicia's place and spending some time with them. I still don't know what I'll be doing for Christmas... there's an idea up in the air right now, but still nothing final. I will definitely keep everyone up to date on what's going on there, but for right now everything's undecided.
Well that's all for now. More to come later, but I've gotta get. I've got an oral project due in Italian lab tomorrow and I need to memorize my lines. So... so long for now, and please keep in touch!!!
